The Paper Leaks, fraud, and corruption have become integral parts of exams under BJP rule:- Kumari Selja

Chandigarh/Sirsa, 8th, June , 2024 – The General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee, former President of Haryana Congress, In-charge of Uttarakhand, former Union Minister, and member of the Congress Working Committee, and newly elected MP from Sirsa Lok Sabha seat of Congress (India Alliance) Kumari Selja said that under BJP rule, paper leaks, fraud, and corruption have become integral parts of exams. The NEET exam results have revealed yet another failure of the BJP government. The Modi government is deceiving the youth of the country and playing with their future. The fact that seven candidates from the same center scored 720 out of 720 points raises questions about the exam results. A high-level investigation committee under the supervision of the Supreme Court should be formed to start a fair investigation into this matter so that meritorious and talented youths can get justice.

In a statement released to the media, Kumari Selja said that under BJP rule, paper leaks, fraud, and corruption have become integral parts of exams. She said that the Congress has demanded an immediate high-level investigation under the supervision of the Supreme Court in view of the allegations of fraud in the NEET exam results. The party has raised serious questions about the BJP government’s disregard of complaints regarding the NEET exam paper leak, accusing the Modi government of deceiving the youth of the country and playing with their future. She also said the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the exam, for paper leaks and irregularities in the results, expressing concerns that common families’ children are being cheated to benefit a few individuals. Kumari Selja said that participating in recruitment exams, then facing numerous irregularities and getting caught in the maze of paper leaks is playing with their future. The BJP has deceived the youth of the country. Our demand is for a high-level investigation under the supervision of the Supreme Court to ensure justice for our talented students participating in NEET and other exams.

Kumari Selja said that not only this, but in an exam where in the past few years only one or two children achieved AIR-1, this time 67 children achieved AIR-1. She said that the Modi government has squandered the hard work of the country’s talented youth done over days, weeks, months, and years within a few hours. She asked whether the Modi government has any accountability towards the future of the youth, and whether playing with the future of 2.4 million youths is not playing with the country’s economy. Kumari Selja said that there is an uproar across the country regarding these exam results, and candidates and their parents are approaching the courts. People’s anger is erupting on social media platforms. People are saying that there were many irregularities in this year’s NEET UG exam.  Kumari Selja said that Haryana is not untouched by paper leaks, fraud, and corruption; paper leaks have become common. The news of a scholarship scam worth Rs. 9.6 million in Kaithal has written a new chapter of corruption. On one hand, under government protection and with the collusion of officials, corrupt individuals are lining their pockets, while on the other hand, the future of these children is becoming bleak. Files in the Chief Minister’s office are gathering dust. These files hide scandals that have not only hurt the state’s treasury but also crushed the dreams of innocent lives hoping for a better tomorrow from your government. The deprivation of SC children’s rights is a stain that can be wiped away. These children, placed at the bottom rung of society, are being pushed deeper into darkness by stripping them of their rights instead of lifting them through education. She said that after the Assembly elections, the Congress government will take the reins of power and make decisions in the public’s interest, and all such scams will be investigated with the culprits given the harshest punishment.
