Delhi Govt to Start ₹2,500 Monthly Aid Registration for Women from March 8

New Delhi : The BJP-led Delhi Government is set to launch the registration process for the Mahila Samridhi Yojana on March 8, under which eligible women from economically weaker sections will receive financial assistance of ₹2,500 per month. This initiative was a key electoral promise made by the BJP during the Delhi Assembly Elections, aimed at providing financial support and empowerment to underprivileged women in the capital.

Addressing the media, Delhi BJP MP Manoj Tiwari emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring the swift implementation of the scheme. He stated that within a month, eligible beneficiaries will be identified, and the process of direct fund transfers will commence. The scheme is expected to benefit thousands of women, helping them meet essential needs and improving their financial stability. He further added that the government has allocated a substantial budget for the program to ensure timely disbursement and prevent any administrative delays.

The registration process will be carried out both online and offline to make it accessible for all eligible applicants. Women can apply through designated government portals, common service centers, and local municipal offices. To qualify for the scheme, applicants must provide valid identification, income proof, and other necessary documents to establish their eligibility under the economically weaker section (EWS) category.

The scheme has garnered significant attention, with various women’s organizations and social activists welcoming the initiative. Many believe that this financial aid will not only support daily household expenses but also help women become more self-reliant. However, opposition parties have raised concerns over the funding and execution of the scheme.
