State’s first Prime Minister Divyasha Center to Open in Narnaul

A Boon for the Differently Abled and senior citizens

NARNAUL,  July 6 , 2024 – In a significant move, the state’s first Prime Minister Divyasha Center (PMDC) is set to be start at Red Cross Bhwawan Narnaul in Mahendragarh district. The centre will provide assistive devices and artificial limbs to senior citizens and people with disabilities.
Deputy Commissioner Monika Gupta (IAS) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ALIMCO officials, paving the way for the establishment of the center. The DC said the center aims to provide assistive devices and artificial limbs to senior citizens and people with disabilities, enabling them to lead a dignified life.

FREE REPAIR SERVICES
The center will provide free repair services for assistive devices, including tricycles, wheelchairs, and hearing aids, which were earlier provided under the government’s ADIP scheme. The center will also provide artificial limbs, free of cost, to those in need.

CATERING TO DIVERSE NEEDS
The center will cater to the needs of people with disabilities, including orthopedic, visual, hearing, and intellectual disabilities. The center will also provide free repair services for assistive devices, which was a long-felt need in the region.

The MoU was signed in the presence of ALIMCO officials, including SK Rath, Secretary Balwan Singh, Dr. SP Singh, and Priyanka, among others.
