Faridabad,16 May, 2024 : Congress Lok Sabha candidate and former cabinet minister Chaudhary Mahendra Pratap Singh, while assuring agitating farmers in Mohana today, declared that if elected as MP with the people’s mandate, his first priority would be to construct a road over the Green Expressway in Mohana. He emphasized that if he failed to accomplish this task, he would resign from his position as MP. Singh highlighted the 215-day-long protest by farmers in Mohana, criticizing the apathy of BJP leaders despite their presence in both central and state governments. He stressed the necessity of breaking the arrogance of BJP leaders by making them realize the power of votes.

Under his election campaign in the Prithla Assembly constituency, Singh addressed the ongoing farmer protests in Mohana. Surrounding villages’ support was evident, with Ishwar Numberdar presiding over the protest and Satbir Singh serving as manager. Additionally, Singh addressed a significant election rally in Atali village, where former MLA Raghubir Singh Tevatia was prominently present. He also condemned schemes like Agni Veer, which he claimed were detrimental to the future of youth. Singh blamed the BJP government for the decline of Faridabad over the past decade, emphasizing the urgent need for change through Congress governance.

Former MLA Raghubir Singh Tevatia, on this occasion, hailed Mahendra Pratap Singh as a true leader of the people, urging everyone to unite and ensure Singh’s victory.
