Asha Jyoti Vidyapeeth organises Mega Health & Blood Donation Camp on Tekram Dagar’s 18th Death Anniversary

Camp Held at Sector 65, Shahpura; Over 200 Eye Surgeries Identified and Hundreds Receive Free Health Check-ups

Faridabad: A mega free health check-up and blood donation camp was organised at Asha Jyoti Vidyapeeth, Sector 65 Shahpura, on the 18th death anniversary of renowned educationist Ch. Tekram Dagar. Hundreds of people underwent medical examinations, while around 209 individuals were identified as needing eye surgery.

All surgeries will be conducted free of cost at Visitech Eye Centre, Jasola, New Delhi. Camp organiser, Chairman of Asha Jyoti Vidyapeeth and Chairman of Shri Asaram Tekram Education Trust, Ch. Satyaveer Dagar, informed that doctors from Visitech Eye Centre, Jasola, New Delhi conducted detailed eye and cataract screenings. A medical team from Sarvodaya Hospital offered examinations related to heart ailments, diabetes, orthopaedics, arthritis, gynaecology, cancer, blood pressure, thyroid, general diseases, and ECG.

Doctors from Sudha Rustagi Dental College conducted dental check-ups, while Red Cross and Sarvodaya Hospital teams collected blood from nearly 200 donors during the blood donation camp. Former NIT Faridabad MLA Neeraj Sharma, District Congress President Baljit Kaushik, educationists Girish Bhardwaj, B.D. Sharma, Deepak Yadav, T.S. Dalal, Narendra Parmar, O.P. Dhankad, Avtar Kaliram, and Narayan Dagar were present on the occasion. Satyaveer Dagar, who is also President of the Progressive Farmers Forum, stated that the Trust organises this free health and blood donation camp every year.

Eye surgeries for the needy are conducted annually, and the Trust has facilitated over 5,000 surgeries so far. All newly identified patients will be transported to Visitech Eye Centre, Jasola, New Delhi, where their operations will be performed at the Trust’s expense. He added that the aim of Asha Jyoti Vidyapeeth is to provide quality education along with essential health services to the community.

The entire event was managed by the students of the institute, reflecting the institution’s vision of nurturing responsible managers and social leaders. All students admitted today were granted free admission. Dagar said the institution strives to follow the path laid by Ch. Tekram Dagar to build a better society.

Former MLA Neeraj Sharma praised the initiative, saying such events guide society in the right direction. District Congress President Baljit Kaushik highlighted the importance of education and healthcare in social development, appreciating the institute’s efforts. Educationist Girish Bhardwaj described Asha Jyoti Vidyapeeth as an inspiration for other institutions, while senior Congress leader Manoj Aggarwal called it “another name for social service.”

Young educationist Deepak Yadav congratulated Satyaveer Dagar and expressed his intention to organise similar camps. Senior educationist B.D. Sharma said the institute sets an example every year through such initiatives. Addressing the gathering, Wing Commander H.S. Mann said that while such camps are common in cities, providing these services in rural areas is truly commendable.

Chaudhary, Rakesh Gurjar, Om Prakash Yadav, Kamal Yadav, Pradeep Dagar, Mukesh Rawat, Ravindra Bakunra, Advocate Vandana Singh, Ramkumar Yadav, ACP Preetpal, SHO Kuldeep Dahiya, Bobby Hemraj Dagar, Amichand Chauhan, Hariram Dalal, and Jagan Dagar were among the key attendees.
