The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports will organize the Youth Spiritual Summit from July 19 to 20, 2025, at the Rudraksh Convention Centre in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Themed “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat”, this two-day event will unite over 500 youth delegates and leaders from more than 100 spiritual and socio-cultural organizations across India, focusing on a unified, youth-led fight against drug addiction.
The Summit is designed to harness India’s spiritual wisdom and the strength of its youth to foster a drug-free society. It will be inaugurated in the holy city of Kashi, on the banks of the Ganga, adding symbolic significance to the national call for moral resurgence and personal discipline.
Several eminent personalities will attend the event, including Shiv Pratap Shukla (Governor of Himachal Pradesh), Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya (Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports), Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Dr. Virendra Kumar, Nityanand Rai, and other central and Uttar Pradesh state ministers.
The Summit will include four plenary sessions, whiteboard forums, expert lectures, and action-oriented workshops. Discussions will focus on the psychological and societal effects of drug addiction, disrupting supply chains, strengthening awareness campaigns, and developing long-term solutions rooted in India’s cultural and spiritual ethos.
A major highlight of the event will be the unveiling of the Kashi Declaration on July 20, 2025. This declaration will present a collective action roadmap drafted through youth-led dialogues and expert consultations. It aims to guide national stakeholders — including policymakers, civil society groups, and youth organizations — in building a Nasha Mukt Bharat.
The Youth Spiritual Summit is being held under the MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) platform, which will also roll out a nationwide awareness campaign post-event. Volunteers and youth clubs affiliated with MY Bharat will carry the anti-drug message to cities, towns, and villages through pledge drives, street outreach, and cultural programs.
The summit represents a significant convergence of spiritual guidance, policy direction, and youth energy in shaping a healthier, addiction-free future for India.
