Faridabad: Celebrating his 67th birthday in an an inspiring and eco-friendly manner, environmentalist and “Tree Man” S.S. Banga marked the occasion by planting saplings at Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam – Prerna Park in Sector 58, Faridabad.

The park, dedicated to his mother Late Harjinder Kaur, was inaugurated in her loving memory. S.S. Banga replaced dried plants with fresh saplings, saying the park holds a deep emotional connection for him.

“Both Mother and Nature are life-giving. My mother’s memories now live through these plants, which will one day grow to offer the same shade and comfort as her protective care,” he shared.
After the plantation, S.S, Banga also visited children living under the Neelam flyover’s slum area, spending time with them and encouraging cleanliness and hygiene.

The children are supported through schooling initiatives run by Victora L.I.F.E Foundation, which is also conducting a cleanliness fortnight campaign to mark S.S. Banga’s birthday.

The event beautifully reflected a message of love, respect, and environmental responsibility, showing how one man’s tribute to his mother can inspire a community to nurture both nature and humanity.
