Union Minister Manohar Lal Unveils Curtain Raiser for Kartavya Bhawan-3 Inauguration under Central Vista Project

New Delhi: Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, SManohar Lal, today addressed a press conference marking the curtain raiser for the inauguration of Kartavya Bhawan‑3, a newly constructed state-of-the-art facility under the Central Vista Redevelopment Project. The press event commenced at 11:45 AM at the premises of Kartavya Bhawan-3, located on Janpath Road in the heart of the national capital.

 

Following the media briefing, the minister led a guided tour of the new infrastructure, showcasing the technological, architectural, and environmental advancements incorporated in the building. Kartavya Bhawan‑3 is part of the government’s ambitious initiative to revamp and modernize administrative infrastructure in New Delhi, aimed at promoting efficient governance and a sustainable work environment for central ministries.

Designed with a futuristic vision, Kartavya Bhawan‑3 is equipped to house key government ministries. The building integrates cutting-edge, eco-friendly, and energy-efficient technologies, adhering to global green building standards. It features solar panels, advanced water recycling systems, natural ventilation, and energy-saving lighting systems — aligning with India’s commitment to environmental sustainability and carbon footprint reduction.

Addressing the media, Manohar Lal emphasized that the Central Vista project is not just about physical infrastructure, but a symbol of “New India’s aspirations”, combining tradition with technology. He noted that Kartavya Bhawan‑3 will improve inter-ministerial coordination by centralizing operations in one secure, smart workspace.

The building’s strategic location on Janpath Road also ensures easy connectivity and accessibility, both for government officials and visitors. The facility will soon be fully operational following its formal inauguration scheduled in the coming days.

The Central Vista project continues to be a major transformative step in redefining the administrative landscape of India, with Kartavya Bhawan‑3 standing as a testament to modern governance, sustainability, and national pride.
