The Impressive TimesNew Delhi, Mar 15 , 2025: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to realizing the vision that former Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma had for the national capital.
The Chief Minister, along with Sahib Singh Verma’s son and Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma, paid homage to the late leader on his birth anniversary.
Reflecting on Verma’s contributions, Rekha Gupta stated, “I feel privileged to have the opportunity to carry forward the legacy he left behind. It is our duty to continue steering Delhi towards greater development.”
Recalling her student days, the Chief Minister mentioned that when she was elected as the President of the Delhi University Students’ Union, Sahib Singh Verma personally congratulated her.
“Today, his daughter serves as the Chief Minister of Delhi, while his son, Parvesh Verma, holds the position of Minister. Together, we are dedicated to shaping Delhi as envisioned by Sahib Singh Verma,” she remarked.
Speaking at the event, Parvesh Verma vowed to fulfill his father’s unfinished aspirations and emphasized his commitment to advancing Delhi’s development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“My father dedicated his entire life to the service of Delhi. Now, it is my responsibility to complete his pending initiatives. Under the guidance of PM Modi, we will make his dreams a reality and propel Delhi forward,” he asserted.
