Delhi High Court has paused Arvind Kejriwal’s bail following the Enforcement Directorate’s demand for a stay

On Thursday, a local court in Delhi granted regular bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the excise policy case. However, the Enforcement Directorate promptly moved the Delhi High Court on Friday to challenge this decision. In response, the High Court issued a setback to the AAP chief by staying the trial court’s order, effectively pausing its implementation until further hearings on the matter.

Assistant Solicitor General SV Raju, representing the Enforcement Directorate, argued before the High Court that he had not been given a chance to oppose the bail during the initial proceedings.
