Chief Secretary Launches IFS Officer Anju Ranjan’s Book “Sheetal Dhoop “

Lucknow, 23 May, 2024 : Chief Secretary Shri Durga Shankar Mishra launched the book “Sheetal Dhoop” written by IFS officer Ms. Anju Ranjan at the CSI Raj Bhawan.

In his address, the Chief Secretary extended his congratulations to IFS officer Ms. Anju Ranjan, saying that the book written by an Indian Foreign Service officer portrays the old environment (village, city, country). Ms. Anju Ranjan is still connected to her roots. She has expressed her ability and aspiration in her own words through the story.

He said that the most special thing about the book is that it is in very simple and straightforward language. The book mentions many stories including “Sheetal Dhoop,” “Silk Thread,” “Savitri,” “A Pair of Slippers,” “The Shisham Tree,” “Shakti Swarupa,” “Not Again,” “Envelope,” “Unfaithful,” “Your Doll,” “The Runaway Girl’s Wedding,” among others. He said that only one who has experienced it firsthand can write this experience.

During this event, author Mr. Himanshu Bajpai presented several stories written in the book “Sheetal Dhoop.”

On this occasion, Principal Secretary Social Welfare Mr. Hariom, Principal Secretary Medical and Health Mr. Parth Sarathi Sen Sharma, Secretary Medical Health and Family Welfare Mr. Ranjan Kumar, Secretary Planning Mr. Anurag Yadav, and other senior officials were present.
