New Delhi : 29 September 2025- On the occasion of Sewa Pakhwada, Delhi’s Social Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh attended a special program at Delhi University’s Aditi College as the chief guest. Addressing the students, he said that Prime Minister  Narendra Modi’s vision of a Developed India–2047 is not just a government plan but a collective national resolve of 1.4 billion citizens.” He emphasized that under the leadership of the  Prime Minister, the Delhi Government will accomplish the goal of a Developed Delhi through the empowerment of the underprivileged and persons with disabilities, with active public participation.

The Cabinet Minister commended the students who donated blood, calling blood donation the greatest service to humanity and urging the youth to take a lead in this noble cause. He appreciated the students’ science models on water conservation and other green initiatives, encouraging everyone to protect the environment.  Singh highlighted that India has become a global leader in solar energy with a production capacity of 100 GW.

Praising the creativity and social awareness displayed in the street play on Developed India and social issues, he urged continued contributions to the Drug-Free India campaign. He appealed to all to actively participate in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, take part in the “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign, and help turn the drug-free movement into a mass people’s movement to provide a healthy and safe environment for future generations.

Ravinder Indraj stated that, in line with Prime Minister  Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Divyang-Empowered, Capable India,” Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has gifted the Atal Drishti Hostel in Timarpur for visually impaired college-going girls and the Atal Asha Home in Narela for persons with mental disabilities during the Seva Pakhwada. Under the Prime Minister’s Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, colleges and universities have been urged to form drug-free clubs and declare their campuses drug-free.

He assured the students that the Delhi Government is ensuring timely and full benefits of scholarships for SC, ST, and OBC students.

Ravinder Indraj further said that Prime Minister  Narendra Modi has set a target of transforming India into a prosperous, self-reliant, and globally leading nation by 2047, the centenary of India’s independence. Under his leadership, the country is moving toward becoming a developed economy after achieving the milestone of a 5-trillion-dollar economy.

Highlighting the progress of the past 11 years, he shared that about 12 crore toilets have been built in villages, freeing women from open defecation and ensuring better health and a life of dignity. He added that 81 percent of households now have tap water connections, 78 crore people have received free health insurance under Ayushman Bharat, India provides the world’s cheapest internet data, and under the Digital India Mission, the country leads the world in UPI digital payments, with all government scheme funds transferred directly to beneficiaries’ accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

On this occasion, the college principal Dr. Neelam Rathi, faculty members, and other distinguished guests were also present.
