Dubai-bound flight from Delhi received a hoax bomb threat via email

Several museums in Delhi received bomb threats, which were later determined to be bogus, according to police reports. Adding to the series of hoax calls in the national capital, a Dubai-bound plane scheduled to take off from Delhi also received a bomb threat via email. The Delhi Police stated that this threat was received on Monday at 9:35 am.

On June 17 at 9:35 am, an email was sent to the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) office at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, claiming there was a bomb on a Delhi to Dubai flight. The authorities promptly initiated security protocols, which included thorough checks of the aircraft and passengers to ensure safety.

The investigation confirmed that the bomb threat was a hoax. Despite causing significant disruption and concern, such threats are taken very seriously to guarantee the safety of all involved and to maintain public trust in aviation security.
