Kolkata, April 2- Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the ruling government in West Bengal, alleging that increasing infiltration has posed a serious challenge to the state’s overall stability and identity
Speaking at a public rally, Shah claimed that the scale of illegal entry into the state has grown significantly in recent years. He argued that the situation has reached a level where it could impact the region’s demographic and administrative balance.
The senior BJP leader also took aim at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her administration of failing to maintain law and order. According to him, incidents involving violence such as firing and explosions have become frequent, raising concerns about public safety.
Shah further said that a strong sentiment for political change is building across the state, suggesting that voters are looking for an alternative leadership. He emphasized that the current atmosphere reflects growing dissatisfaction among residents.
The remarks come amid heightened political activity in the state, with parties intensifying their campaigns ahead of upcoming electoral contests.
