Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the State’s spiritual, cultural, ecological, and strategic significance, calling it a land of sacrifice, resilience, and national service.
Radhakrishnan recalled his support for the Uttarakhand statehood Bill in the Lok Sabha, describing its creation as a democratic response to the aspirations of hill communities. He underscored Uttarakhand’s spiritual heritage, noting that the State embodies Satyam, Shivam, and Sundaram, and emphasized its ecological importance, with glaciers, rivers, and forests sustaining life well beyond its borders.
Highlighting developmental progress, the Vice-President praised the State’s advances under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, citing improvements in road, rail, air, and communication connectivity.
