UP CS Manoj Kumar Singh reviews MMLP project in Greater Noida as major firms present proposals

Final decision on 174-acre logistics park to be taken by committee chaired by CS; over Rs 1200 crore investment and 5000 jobs expected

Greater Noida: Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary and Chairman of the Noida-Greater Noida Authority, Manoj Kumar Singh, visited Greater Noida on Thursday to review the Multimodal Logistics Park (MMLP) scheme launched by the Greater Noida Authority. The scheme was officially launched on May 23 and the last date to submit applications was June 23.

 

Three companies including Super Handlers Pvt Ltd, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd, and Empezar Logistics Pvt Ltd submitted their proposals for the logistics park to be developed on a 174-acre land parcel located in Sector Kappa-2 of Greater Noida.

During the high-level meeting held in the boardroom of the Greater Noida Authority, Chief Secretary reviewed detailed presentations by all three companies. The final selection will be made by a committee chaired by the Chief Secretary himself.

Several senior officials were present during the presentation session, including Greater Noida Authority CEO Ravi Kumar N G,
Noida Authority CEO Dr Lokesh M, YEIDA CEO R K Singh, Gautam Buddh Nagar District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma, and ACEOs of Greater Noida Authority Saumya Srivastava, Sunil Kumar Singh, Shrilakshmi V S, Prerna Singh, and Sumit Yadav. Also present were YEIDA OSD Shailendra Kumar Bhatia, GM Finance Vinod Kumar, and GM Planning Leenu Sehgal, among others.

The proposed Multimodal Logistics Park, spread across 174 acres, is expected to attract an investment of over Rs 1200 crore and generate employment opportunities for more than 5000 youth. Additionally, the park will significantly ease freight movement for industries operating in the region.
