Kharsawan, December 06, 2023: None of the corners of the state would be out of reach for the state government. The people of state are being benefitted by way of camps that the government is organizing in different villages and Panchayat. Camps are being organized at 132 Panchayat spread over nine wards of Saraikela-Kharsava regularly as per schedule, said CM Hemant Soren. He was addressing the gathering at the Godpur ground at Simla Panchayat of Kharsawan. He said that by organizing such camps the state government is reaching every tribal, backward classes, poor, minority, women, youth, farmers and labor. He said that the state has already finalized plans to lay roads on 15,000 kms of rural areas. Providing the remote villages with electricity, water and road is on the top priority of the government.
The government is providing free supply of electricity upto 100 units which has benefitted over 66,000 residents till now. In order to keep environment green and clean, the government has introduced a scheme of allowing five units free to the residents planting trees in their campus and at home.
Soren said that the MSP on the jungle produce would also be fixed on the lines of setting up of MSP on grains. For this Sido Kanho Vanopaj Sahkari Sangh has been constituted so that the farmers get the appropriate price for their jungle produce. He said that the MSP set for this jungle produce will be higher than the market price. He further added that the center is holding the royalty on coal to the tune of Rs.1,36,000 crores that is to be released to state. If this amount is released by the center, every men or women of the state would be paid Rs.2,500 per month and the resources would be generated to deliver water to every farm of the farmers. He said that had the money be released by the center every youth would have been paid Rs.10,00,000 each to promote self-employment. Also, the families would have been supported financially by offering LPG cylinder at Rs.500 only.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that while Roti, Kapda aur Makan are the basic essentials for each person, the Jharkhand government has proposed coming up eight lacs dwellings for the needy. This scheme, however, is pending with the central government for want of sanction. Instead of keep waiting for the approval of central government, the state is now providing houses under the Abua Awas Yojna to the needy financing of which is being provided by the state itself from its resources. He said that 11 lacs ration cards were cancelled earlier. However, now the state government has issued green ration card to 20 lakh beneficiaries. The holders of these cards are also getting pulses on reduced prices. Two times in a year, the needy are also provided with cloth from these ration shops.
The government is also instrumental in ensuring education to girl children under the Savitri Bai Phuley Kishori Samridhhi Yojna. The government is also providing financial help for appearing in the competitive examinations to these girls and is providing financial support for some of the courses.
