New Delhi, 9 December 2025– HRDS INDIA will host the first edition of the Veer Savarkar International Impact Award 2025 on 10 December 2025 at the NDMC Convention Hall, New Delhi. The ceremony will be inaugurated by  Defence Minister Rajnath Singh , while  Lieutenant Governor  Manoj Sinha will attend as the Chief Dignitary.

Member of Parliament Dr. Shashi Tharoor will be one of six distinguished awardees recognised at the inaugural edition. The award honours eminent individuals from diverse fields whose contributions demonstrate measurable public service, national impact, and long-term societal advancement.

Dr. Tharoor’s selection stands as a testament to his far-reaching impact across national and global platforms. His long tenure at the United Nations and his continued service as a Member of Parliament have shaped key discussions on diplomacy, education, and inclusive development. A respected author of over twenty books, he has contributed substantially to public understanding of India’s history, culture, and global role. His recognition as an inaugural awardee affirms the award’s focus on meaningful and multidimensional impact.

Speaking about Dr. Tharoor’s selection,  Aji Krishnan, Founder–Secretary of HRDS INDIA, said, “Dr. Shashi Tharoor brings together intellectual depth, global experience, and a strong commitment to public service. His work at the United Nations, his contributions in Parliament, and his writings have all strengthened national discourse and India’s global standing. He truly reflects the values this award seeks to honour, making him a highly deserving recipient of the inaugural recognition.”

The Veer Savarkar International Impact Award has been instituted to commemorate the extraordinary life and legacy of Shri Vinayak Damodar Savarkar—revolutionary thinker, reformer, and visionary patriot. His moral courage, intellectual clarity, and commitment to national transformation remain central to India’s developmental ethos. Through this award, HRDS INDIA seeks to honour individuals whose work resonates with these ideals and contributes to the nation’s collective progress.

The inaugural event will convene national leaders, policymakers, scholars, changemakers, and civil society representatives for an evening dedicated to recognising contributions that strengthen India’s democratic, social, and developmental fabric.
