New Delhi– Revered spiritual leader Satpal Ji Maharaj has warned that the growing competition among developed nations to test nuclear weapons poses the greatest threat to the existence of life on Earth. He recalled that as early as 1960, Yogiraj Param Sant Shri Hans Ji Maharaj had raised his voice against nuclear proliferation by organizing the historic “Anti-Dot Convention” at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan — urging the world to stop the creation of weapons of mass destruction. Shri Hans Ji dedicated his entire life to the cause of world peace and human unity, and today, Satpal Ji Maharaj called upon all Indians to carry forward that noble mission.

Marking the 125th birth anniversary of Shri Hans Ji Maharaj, the Manav Utthan Sewa Samiti organized a two-day “Sadbhavana Conference” at Shri Hans Nagar Ashram, Pandwala Kalan, to spread his message of harmony, peace, and universal brotherhood.
Addressing the grand gathering, Satpal Ji Maharaj the torchbearer of Manav Dharma said,
The world’s powerful nations are locked in a race to build and test nuclear weapons. The Earth already holds enough destructive capability to annihilate humanity many times over. Instead of disarmament, these weapons are being upgraded with advanced technology, and wars are being deliberately fueled to justify their testing.

He expressed concern that the war industry has become a vast global business, overshadowing compassion and moral responsibility.
Emphasizing India’s spiritual heritage, Satpal Ji Maharaj said,
This sacred land of Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, the Ten Sikh Gurus, Lord Mahavira, and Lord Buddha is the cradle of peace and dharma. It is our collective duty to protect it and to spread the light of humanity throughout the world.
During the conference, a soulful rendition of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj’s song — “Jyot Se Jyot Jalate Chalo, Prem Ki Ganga Bahate Chalo” — filled the air. As the song played, all lights in the pandal were turned off, and over 25,000 candles were lit together — symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and the unity of hearts. The sight of the illuminated gathering radiated the true spirit of peace, love, and oneness.
Satpal Ji Maharaj also remembered Shri Hans Ji Maharaj’s tireless service to humanity, his efforts to promote interfaith harmony, and his emphasis on understanding the core teachings of spirituality beyond religious divides. Quoting Saint Kabir, he urged people to rise above narrow differences and embrace the universal truth of oneness.
He further cautioned that the world today faces another grave danger global warming. “If glaciers continue to melt at this pace, no power can stop large parts of the earth from being submerged,” he warned, calling upon everyone to take collective action to save the planet from ecological destruction.
The event witnessed the presence of several eminent personalities, including Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh, MCD Deputy Chairman Sunder Tanwar, Councillor Amit Ji, and Pandit Manoj Shastri Ji, among others.
The conference concluded with a powerful message that only through love, compassion, and unity can humanity overcome the darkness of conflict and create a brighter, peaceful world.
