Inauguration of DJB’s New Drinking Water Pipeline Project in Rohini Sector-20

New Delhi: 13 July 2025Minister for Social Welfare, SC/ST Welfare, Elections, and Cooperatives Ravinder Indraj Singh, inaugurated a new drinking water pipeline project by the Delhi Jal Board in Rohini Sector-20 under the Bawana Assembly constituency on Sunday.

On this occasion, Ravinder Indraj stated that Providing basic amenities to the last corners of Delhi and offering relief to the poor and marginalized is a top priority of our government. This project will be completed within two months and will ensure access to clean drinking water for all families residing in the rehabilitation colonies of Sector-20.
this area had been facing a drinking water crisis for the past 30 years, which is now being addressed with a permanent solution.

Following this, Ravinder Indraj addressed a Jan Samvad (public dialogue) program in Shakti Nagar, under the Model Town Assembly constituency. He said, “Under the leadership of our respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji and  Chief Minister Rekha Gupta Ji, the vision of a developed Delhi is being realized through public cooperation.”

He further noted that the reduction in waterlogging this year, including at the historically affected Minto Bridge, and the decrease in Delhi’s pollution levels reflect the good governance and committed efforts of the current government. Rapid work is being done in the sectors of roads, water, and electricity.

The Minister highlighted that, for the first time, serious efforts are being made in Delhi for drug de-addiction. A grand event was organized on International Day Against Drug Abuse, and district-level meetings have already been held in two districts. Similar meetings will be organized across all districts in the coming days.

Efforts are also underway to ensure timely disbursal of scholarships for SC/ST/OBC students, along with plans to reopen hostels that had been non-operational for years. The government is actively working toward fulfilling the vision of prosperity through cooperatives.

The event was also graced by the presence of Member of Parliament Praveen Khandelwal, MLA Ashok Goel, and Municipal Councillor  Renu Aggarwal.
