Faridabad: Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Rao Narendra Singh on Saturday accused BJP of “tampering with EVMs, manipulating votes, and interfering with battery systems to steal governments,” alleging large-scale electoral misconduct in both Haryana and Bihar. He was addressing party workers at Timpi Farm in Sector 12 during the Congress’ ‘Vote Chor–Gaddi Chhod’ campaign. Rao Narendra Singh claimed that ahead of the Bihar elections, 65 lakh votes were removed in the name of SIR and 21 lakh new votes were added, questioning the Election Commission’s silence.

He said voters were offered inducements, including Rs.10,000 transfers to women’s accounts and free train travel. He alleged that the Election Commission acted as the “BJP’s B-team” by ignoring Model Code of Conduct violations. Accusing BJP of attempting to alter the Constitution, Rao said Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi was “fighting to protect the Constitution and democracy,” calling on Congress workers to take this message to every village, booth and household.

As part of the programme, senior Congress leaders including party co-incharge Jitendra Baghel, former MP Avtar Bhadhana, MLA Raghubir Teotia, district in-charge Sudhir Chaudhary and other dignitaries participated. District Congress Committee president Baljeet Kaushik welcomed all guests before a march was taken out to the Mini Secretariat, where a memorandum addressed to the President of India was submitted through the Deputy Commissioner.

Rao also alleged that 1.52 lakh “fake votes” were detected in Faridabad, including 58,476 in Prithla, 23,500 in NIT, 14,365 in Badkhal, 10,765 in Ballabgarh, 10,523 in Faridabad and 34,443 in Tigaon. He further claimed BJP “illegally formed the government in Haryana in 2024” and urged cadres to make voters aware that “their votes are not reaching the right place.” District President Kaushik assured full organisational commitment and called upon party workers to unite against the BJP’s “anti-people policies.” The event was attended by senior party leaders including Congress leader Satbir Dagar, Kisan Congress President Master Rishipal, State spokesperson Tarun Tewatia, State President of Ideology Department Vinod Kaushik, State spokesperson Yogesh Dhingra, Gaurav Dhingra, Manoj Agarwal, Youth Congress President Vikas Dayma, Women President Faridabad Sunita Fagana, Renu Chauhan and several hundred Congress workers.
