President Murmu Installs Ram Yantra at Ayodhya Ram Temple During Navratri Rituals

Ceremony marks start of Hindu New Year with grand Vedic traditions at Ram Janmabhoomi

Ayodhya, March 19, 2026: President Droupadi Murmu participated in sacred rituals at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and carried out the ceremonial installation of the revered “Ram Yantra” on the auspicious occasion of the first day of Chaitra Navratri.

The event, held with Vedic chants and religious ceremonies, marked the beginning of the Hindu New Year. The President took part in prayers and key rituals before placing the Ram Yantra at the temple complex during an auspicious time considered highly sacred in Hindu traditions.

The Ram Yantra, a geometrical spiritual symbol rooted in Vedic traditions, is believed to channel divine energy and positive vibrations. It had been under worship for an extended period before being formally स्थापित at the temple.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, saints, and scholars, along with spiritual leaders including Mata Amritanandamayi. Thousands of invited guests, including artisans and workers associated with the temple’s construction, were part of the event.

Elaborate arrangements were made by authorities and the temple trust to ensure smooth conduct of the Ceremony, including strict security measures and controlled access within the temple premises.

The event is being seen as another significant milestone in the spiritual and cultural journey of the Ram Temple, drawing national attention and reinforcing its importance as a major religious centre in India.
