New Delhi, 24 October2025 — Prime Minister  Narendra Modi addressed the Rozgar Mela via videoconference, celebrating the issuance of appointment letters to over 51,000 youth today. The Prime Minister highlighted that these appointments go beyond government jobs—they are opportunities for young Indians to actively contribute to nation-building.

Modi underlined that youth success translates to national success. Over the years, Rozgar Melas have issued more than 11 lakh appointment letters, and initiatives like the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana aim to provide jobs to 3.5 crore youth. Skill development programs such as Skill India Mission and platforms like the National Career Service are connecting youth to job opportunities, with more than 7 crore vacancies shared nationwide.

The Prime Minister announced the Pratibha Setu Portal, a platform for talented candidates who reached the final UPSC list but were not selected. The initiative will redirect their skills to both public and private sectors, ensuring that no talent goes unused, and encouraging youth to participate in nation-building.

Highlighting economic initiatives, Modi stated that record Diwali sales under the GST Bachat Utsav have spurred demand, production, and employment. GST reforms have strengthened the MSME sector, retail trade, and associated jobs in manufacturing, logistics, and distribution.

Modi emphasized that India’s youth are its greatest asset. He cited recent international agreements with the UK, European nations, Brazil, Singapore, Korea, and Canada, which will generate new employment opportunities in sectors such as AI, fintech, clean energy, startups, and exports.

The Prime Minister encouraged the newly appointed youth to embrace the spirit of service, citing Nagarik Devo Bhava as a guiding principle. Platforms like i-Got Karmayogi Bharat are helping government employees develop good governance skills, preparing them to lead India toward becoming a developed nation by 2047.

Modi concluded by congratulating all appointees and their families, expressing confidence that their efforts will shape India’s future and realize citizens’ aspirations.
