New Delhi, June 15, 2025: In a vibrant celebration aimed at promoting health, environmental awareness, and national unity, a Walkathon and Cyclothon was organized today at the Karnail Singh Stadium in the national capital. The event was jointly hosted by the Northern Railway Sports Association (NRSA), Surgeons Association of India – Delhi Chapter, and Concor CCC Cycling Club, to commemorate Surgeons Day under the theme of building a healthier and greener India.
The day began with great enthusiasm as Shri Nar Singh, Principal Chief Commercial Manager of Northern Railway, flagged off the 50 km Cyclothon, which saw participation from professional cyclists and enthusiasts alike. The cycling route covered iconic landmarks such as India Gate, Pragati Maidan Tunnel, Akshardham, Ghazipur Border, and Shipra Mall, showcasing not just the riders’ endurance but also the importance of embracing eco-friendly modes of transport.
