FARIDABAD, 01 JUNE: With an aim to equip and empower educators with the skills and strategies to identify, address, and support students to thrive both academically and emotionally, FMS organized ‘CBSE- Capacity Building Programme for Teachers on Promoting Mental Health & Wellness among Students’.
FMS Director Principal Mr. Umang Malik, school coordinators, staff and other partcipants of various schools attended the day long session facilitated by Dr. Neelima Kamrah- Master Trainer, CBSE and Founder Principal, KIIT School, Gurugram and Mrs. Shivani Gupta– Former Principal, Mayoor School, Ganganagar, Rajasthan. The program started with an auspicious lighting of the lamp and a formal welcome of the resource persons.
The workshop focussed on strategies for identifying mental health issues and providing effective psychological support to support the learning and overall development of students. Facilitator Dr. Neelima Kamrah was quite interactive and interspersed the session with various hands-on activities to demonstrate strategies to deal with students facing emotional and mental challenges. Mrs. Shivani Gupta on the other hand, presented a comprehensive structured module. She covered essential topics such as the significance of mental health in today’s context, early detection of symptoms, crisis management strategies and practical intervention techniques.
At a time when academic pressure and social challenges are on the rise, this CBSE workshop represented a significant commitment to the mental health and overall well-being of the students. The session concluded with felicitation of the resource people by FMS Director Principal Mr. Umang Malik and the School Coordinators and expressing gratitude to the attendees for their active participation during the session.
