The Impressive TimesSHAHDARA, 04 JUNE: On 31.05.25 two consecutive PCR calls were received at Police Station Jagatpuri and Geeta Colony regarding robbery by four bike borne miscreants at gunpoint. On this FIR No. 293/25 dated 31.05.2025 u/s 309(4)/3(5) BNS, PS Jagatpuri, Delhi and FIR No. 270/25, dated 31.05.25 u/s 304(2)/3(5) BNS, PS Geeta Colony, Delhi were registered.
On this a dedicated team comprising of HC Kumar Divya Vats, HC Sachin Kumar,HC Navdeep, HC Rohit, HC Manish, HC Sonu, HC Amit& Ct Mahendraled by SI Bhumeshwar Yadav, IC ASB Cell/SHD and under the close supervision of Sh. Gurdev Singh, ACP/Operations/Shahdara was constituted and the task was assigned to the team to track and nab the culprits. The team obtained and analyzed the CCTV footage from the spot and nearby area. After examining the CCTV footage, the team found that the miscreants had used a Duke bike and a Dominar bike in the crime. Thereafter, the team successfully obtained the registration numbers of the Duke&Dominarbike but the registration number of the Dominar bike was found fake and no further clue was found from the CCTV trails. Thereafter, the team obtained details of Duke bike and raided the house of registered owner of Duke bike i.eManikant a resident of Bhalaswa, Delhi and examined him, who told that he had sold the bike to a person named Vinay. Thereafter, the team examined Vinay, who told that he had sold the bike to a third person named Rishav, after this Rishav was also examined, who told that while he was near Nehru Nagar, two persons came on white bike and robbed his bike on 29/05/25 at gunpoint, for which an FIR No. 014875/25 dated 29.05.25 is registered in PS Lajpat Nagar. Thereafter, the information of incidents was shared with informers. One informer told that he knows some miscreants who commits offence by same modus operandi in all over Delhi. The informer also told that these miscreants have one white bike. Now the suspicion over the suspect persons was deepened. Team swiftly started developing the information passed by the informer. The details were obtained. On this information, the suspected persons were identified and their address were also verified on the same night. After that a trap was laid in the area but the assailant did not come out of their hideouts till early morning. Thereafter, the team decided to continue the trap and successfully apprehended three assailants namely Sharik, Shabir @ Faheem and Saurav @ Manoj A Micky.
INTERROGATION:-
On interrogation all the accused confessed their involvement in the present incidents and revealed the name of their accomplice Shahzad, a resident of New Seelampur. During the interrogation it has been revealed that all the accused parked both the bikes in the area of Daryaganj after committing the crime. Duke bike and Dominar bike were recovered from Daryaganj area on their instance. A country-made pistol, a live cartridge, one robbed I-Phone, one robbed vivo mobile phone in broken condition, Rs 6400/- cash, a fake lighter-like pistol, one knife and bike lock-opening tools were recovered from the accusedpersons. Raid was also conducted at Shahzad’s residence but he found absconding. sincere efforts are being made to trace the co-accused Shahzad.
MODUS OPERANDI:-
During continuous interrogation, it was found that accused Sharik is the mastermind of this gang. All the accused are auto drivers by profession and drive autos on rent from Seelampur to Delhi-06. They robbed/steal two-wheelers especially sports bikes and hide them in Daryaganj area. As soon as night falls, they leave their hideouts and hire autos to reach Daryaganj, from where they pick up the robbed/stolen bikes and roam around Delhi and commit robbery and snatchings from people returning from work late at night. After this, all the accused go back to Daryaganj and hide those bikes and park them there and from there, they hire autos and go back to their homes. On interrogation, the accused persons told that they do this to dodge the police and avoid CCTV cameras. During interrogation, they told that all of them are professional criminals and have been to jail many times and it was in the jail that they learnt the art of escaping from police and CCTV cameras.
RECOVERY:-
1. One country made pistol (DeshiKatta) alongwith one live cartridge were recovered.
2. One fake lighter-like pistol recovered.
3. One robbed Duke M/Cycle No. DL10AC9727and one stolen Dominar bike with fake registration number plate used in commission of crime were recovered.
4. Robbed amount Rs 6400/- recovered.
5. One Knife and lock opening tools were also recovered.
6. Two robbed/snatched mobile phones.
