Exam Supervisor Suspended in Palwal, Five Police Officers also Penalized for Negligence in Board examination

Palwal, March 1: In a significant move to ensure fair examinations under the Haryana School Education Board (Bhiwani), the supervisor of Exam Center-33, Gopal Datt Sharma, has been immediately suspended. The decision was taken by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Harish Kumar Vashishth, who emphasized the strict measures being implemented to eliminate cheating and ensure a transparent examination process.
Dr. Vashishth informed that during the ongoing Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations, the primary goal is to conduct a cheat-free exam. The administration has been working diligently and taking all necessary actions to prevent any malpractice. He made it clear that no leniency would be shown to those caught indulging in cheating, and any form of negligence would not be tolerated.
Additional Director of the Directorate of School Education, Haryana, Kamal Preet Kaur, has also suspended Gopal Datt Sharma, the exam center supervisor, for his failure to maintain discipline at the center. Furthermore, five police officers stationed at the center have also been suspended due to their involvement in the laxity surrounding exam procedures. In addition to these measures, Dr. Vashishth has recommended strict actions against the center superintendent and the school principal.
He stressed that those involved in enabling or allowing cheating would face severe consequences. In a bid to ensure further accountability, Dr. Vashishth has instructed the District Education Officer to hold a School Management Committee (SMC) meeting on Sunday, March 2, to ensure that exams remain free of cheating. He urged all members of the SMC to cooperate fully in maintaining the integrity of the exams.
Dr. Vashishth said that he, along with the Superintendent of Police, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), will conduct regular visits to various exam centers for thorough inspections, ensuring that the exams proceed without any malpractices.
The district administration remains committed to upholding the integrity of the examination process, taking firm action against any attempts to disrupt the fair conduct of exams.
