Road Safety Bike Rally Organized at Connaught Place to Mark National Road Safety Month

New Delhi, January 31, 2025: As part of the National Road Safety Month observed from January 1 to January 31, the Delhi Traffic Police organized a Road Safety Bike Rally at Connaught Place on Friday. The event, aimed at raising awareness about road safety, witnessed active participation from bike riders representing Delhi Traffic Police, Zomato, Swiggy, Domino’s, JK Tyre, and Yulu Bike.

Representatives from leading road safety stakeholders, including Hero MotoCorp, Honda, JK Tyre, Value Life Foundation, Head Injury Foundation, Swiggy, and Domino’s, also took part in the initiative. To promote safe riding habits, participants were provided with helmets, first-aid kits, jackets, and mugs.

The rally was flagged off by Sh. Shashank Jaiswal, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic (HQ-I), who served as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Inspector Manju Singh (TI/RSC) and SI Vinita Kaushik. Addressing the participants, Sh. Jaiswal emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic rules and urged riders to become advocates of road safety.


The bike rally, which commenced at Traffic Training Park, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, saw the participation of nearly 250 bike riders and 350 attendees in total. Riders carried eye-catching placards with road safety messages as they navigated the Outer Circle of Connaught Place to engage and educate commuters. The rally concluded back at TT Park, marking a successful awareness campaign.

The initiative was lauded by Special CP (Traffic) Sh. Ajay Choudhary and Addl. CP (Traffic) Sh. Satyavir Katara, who commended the Delhi Traffic Police’s efforts in promoting road safety and spreading awareness among the public.

With growing concerns over road accidents and traffic violations, the Delhi Traffic Police continues to undertake initiatives like these to reinforce safe driving practices and ensure the well-being of all road users.
