Utsav, a Cultural program and Blood donation Camp organized at Government College, Faridabad

Faridabad, 24 January 2025– A Cultural program and Blood donation Camp were organized at Government College, Faridabad.under the guidance of Principal Dr. Chandrashekhar Vashisht, to mark National Girl Child Day and International Education Day. The chief guest of the event was. The program was chaired by Shri Aman Goyal and District President Shri Rajkumar Vohra. The program convener was Dr. Shaileshwar Kaushik.

The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, the principal, and District Education Officer Dr. Sunidhi Singh. Former principals Dr. P.D. Sharma, Dr. Gajraj Yadav, Dr. Narendra, Dr. O.P. Rawat, Dr. Rajpal, Dr. M.K. Gupta, Dr. D.K. Sharma, Dr. S.P. Phogat, and Dr. Sunil Sharma were honored for their contributions. Shri Mohan Lal Baroli extended his best wishes for the Utsav program and inspired everyone to plant trees and contribute to social work. He also showcased glimpses of a “Developed India” and highlighted various government schemes.

The event featured captivating cultural performances, including dances and songs. State Coordinator Narendra Bharti presented visuals of pre-independence India while appreciating the progress and empowerment of women in modern India. Former student Gyanendra and his team energized the audience with a spirited Ragini performance. Students who passed the NET examination in various subjects and those placed in multinational companies were also honored.

A total of 30 units of blood were donated by students during the camp. The chief guest inaugurated a cricket pitch for Haryana wheelchair cricket players and distributed shawls to underprivileged students of the college.

The event was anchored by Dr. Pratibha Chauhan and Dr. Zorawar Singh. Distinguished guests included BJP District President Rajkumar Vohra, State Farmers’ Forum Vice President Sohanpal Singh, District General Secretary Manoj Vashisht, former District General Secretary Moolchand Mittal, District Media In-charge Vinod Gupta, District Vice President Sukhbir Malerna, Wazir Singh Dagar, Pankaj Singla, Shobhit Arora, Yogesh Tewatia, Seema Bhardwaj, Mandal President Mukesh Jha, and Shiv Gupta.

NCC officers Dr. Rajendra Kumar and Amrita Shri played a significant role alongside their NCC cadets. Faculty members, including Dr. Pramila Kajal, Dr. Kamla Chaudhary, Dr. Jyotsna Singh, Dr. Pratibha Chauhan, Dr. Monisha, Dr. Renu Sardhana, Dr. Shalini Sharma, Shashi Kumar, Dr. Rajbir Singh, Dr. Kamal, Dr. Rajvinder Kaur, Priyanka Parashar, Dr. Harvansh, Dr. Vishal Singh, Rajneesh, and Dr. Vipin, along with the entire college team, contributed significantly to the success of the event.
