Washington, January 21, 2025: US President Donald Trump marked the start of his second term by signing a series of executive orders aimed at overturning key policies introduced during the Biden administration. The signing ceremony, held at a public event in Washington, showcased Trump approving a stack of documents one by one, displaying them to an enthusiastic crowd.
The executive actions span various issues, beginning with the Revocation of 78 Biden-Era Directives, effectively dismantling numerous initiatives established by his predecessor. Trump also introduced a Regulatory Freeze, halting the issuance of new regulations until his administration asserts full control over federal operations.
Another key order imposes a Federal Hiring Freeze, suspending all non-essential government hiring—with exceptions for the military and select categories—until the administration sets clear objectives. Additionally, Trump directed federal workers to return to full-time, in-office work.
In response to economic challenges, Trump signed a directive instructing all federal departments and agencies to address the Cost of Living Crisis, which has severely impacted American households.
One of the most controversial moves includes Withdrawing the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement, a decision that will be formally communicated to the United Nations.
Other notable actions include a directive to Protect Freedom of Speech, preventing future government censorship, and an order to End the Weaponization of Government Agencies, ensuring they are not used against political opponents.
President Trump emphasized that these actions are pivotal to restoring the nation’s priorities and correcting what he described as missteps of the previous administration.
