Mahakumbh 2025: 12 special units with changing rooms set up at Sangam for women devotees

Mahakumbhnagar, December 12: The Yogi Adityanath government is taking a highly ambitious and elaborate plan to make Mahakumbh 2025 a historic event, showcasing the cultural, spiritual, and organizational excellence of India. The grand event, central to Sanatan Dharma, is likely to attract millions of devotees, tourists, and spiritual seekers from all corners of the world. The preparations reflect deep commitment by the administration to making it a memorable and seamless experience for all those who come, while keeping special vigil on safety, comfort, and spiritual needs of the devotees.

For the ease of comfort of female devotees, who have always been peculiarly vulnerable to various strains during such massive congregations, the administration has made an arrangement of 12 special units at Sangam. These units, each 25 meters in length and 6 meters in width, will have well-designed changing rooms. These facilities will enable women to change comfortably after bathing in holy waters and performing rituals, keeping their dignity and convenience in mind. Such arrangements display a progressive approach to fulfilling practical needs while respecting the spiritual sanctity of the event. It extends beyond infrastructure improvements, also strengthening visual and functional attractiveness in this place of the sacred Sangam area. Old, unsafe, dilapidated boats previously being in use are removed for more safety to the pilgrim. Instead of them newly developed jetties of floating boats are being mounted. These modern jetties are not only safer but also decorated with colorful flowers, giving a serene and peaceful view in line with the spiritual feel of Mahakumbh.

The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself is in charge of the preparations, thus giving an idea of the level of importance the government is lending to the event. He personally went through a detailed review of the arrangements at Mahakumbhnagar and made sure that every aspect of the event was well-planned and executed. His proactive approach has set the tone for a well-coordinated effort across departments.

The focus area of concern is the smooth performance of rituals and ceremonies, which form the crux of Mahakumbh. To ensure that devotees do not get confused or perplexed while performing these sacred acts, the government has deployed a large number of Brahmins, priests, and pandas at important places.

These individuals will help the pilgrims to go through the religious  processes and will support them to maintain traditions with dignity and precision.
