GEETA JAYANTI COMMEMORATED AT JIVA PUBLIC SCHOOL

Faridabad , 12 December , 2024 – A special morning assembly was organised to Commemorate  Geeta Jayanti on 11th November.Geeta Jayanti is one of the most pious occasion in Hindu religion,as Lord Krishna had preached Arjun to make his human life worthwhile by overcoming emotions and sentiments. Lord Krishna’s sermons are compiled in Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta.Hence this day is celebrated as Geeta Jayanti.Lord Krishna  had preached Arjun about Dharma,Satya  and Kartavya  in one’s life.The objective of this fest was to create awareness about these Shlokas amongst the masses.

This occasion is marked by conducting religious and spiritual events.In temples Hawan, puja and discourses  are held.⁶Geeta Shlokas are recited collectively by groups and sworn  to follow them.The purpose of this collective felicitation is to reach out the common people and make them aware about religion , truth and their duty.

At Jiva ,this occasion was marked with utmost grace and devotion by the students  by reciting the Geeta Shlokas and interpreting its meaning.The school endeavours to foster values and culture among students via such celebrations.The school’s acharya Shri Amit Shashtri intimated the gist of Geeta’s Sermons briefly to students.

The occasion was addressed by Chairman Shri Rishi Pal Chauhan,who stated that the sermons of Srimad Bhagwat Geeta guide us to be moderate,hardworking and disciplined in life.
