The Impressive TimesChittaranjan, December 11, 2024: Shri Vijay Kumar, a senior officer of the Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineer (IRSME) belonging to the 1988 batch, has officially taken over as the General Manager of Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) on December 10, 2024.
Prior to his posting as General Manager, CLW he was working as Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer (PCME) at North Western Railway/Jaipur.
Shri Kumar has done his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College/Chandigarh.
Throughout his illustrious career spanning over 30 years, he has held several crucial positions over the Indian Railways and has made significant contributions o¬n Northern Railway, RDSO, Railway Board and Northern Western Railways. He has immensely contributed during his tenure as Director/Rolling Stock/ /Delhi in National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL).
He has gone training on Advanced Management programme from Singapore & Malaysia; Information Technology from CRIS/New Delhi and Workshop on Strategic Management Issues from Indian school of Business/Hyderabad.
The entire team at Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) is looking forward to an unparalleled progress and innovation under his leadership &guidance.
