The Northern Railway Headquarters Cultural Team recently presented an engaging Nukkad Natak as part of the Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign, with the theme “Swachhata Parmo Dharma” (Cleanliness is the Highest Duty). The performance took place at the Central Lawn of Baroda House, the headquarters office, and featured 10 talented artists, including eight male members—Shri Mukesh Kumar, Shri Aman Kumar, Shri Bharat Bhushan, Shri Harish Kumar, Shri Anup Kumar, Shri Sanjay Mishra, Shri Parivesh Khanna, and Dr. Sumit Malik—and two female members, Ms. Reena Mehra and Ms. Radha.
The Nukkad Natak focused on key messages promoting cleanliness, proper waste disposal, and healthy living. The team used humor and drama to convey the importance of keeping one’s surroundings clean, maintaining personal hygiene, and the individual responsibility each person holds in creating a healthier environment and society. The performance aligned with the Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign, which aims to raise awareness about cleanliness and sustainability across various sectors.
Senior railway officials, including Sh. Harsha Dass, CPO/G, Ms. Archana Mittal, CME/Planning, and Sh. Abhishek Thakur, Dy.CPO/HQ, were present at the event, showing their support for the cause. This initiative not only seeks to inspire railway staff but also the general public to adopt better cleanliness habits, ensuring long-term benefits for both families and communities.
