Northern Railway, Headquarters, Cultural Team Performs Nukkad Natak on Swachhata Pakhwada titled “Swachhata Parmo Dharma”

New Delhi , 26 September , 2024- As part of the Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign, Northern Railway Headquarters Cultural Team today presented a captivating Nukkad Natak on the theme “Swachhata Parmo Dharma” at the Central Lawn of Baroda House, Headquarters Office. The 10-member team, comprising eight male artists – Shri Mukesh Kumar, Shri Aman Kumar, Shri Bharat Bhushan, Shri Harish Kumar, Shri Anup Kumar, Shri Sanjay Mishra, Shri Parivesh Khanna, and Dr. Sumit Malik  and two female artists, Ms. Reena Mehra and Ms. Radha, delivered a powerful message promoting cleanliness and healthy surroundings.

On the occasion, Sh. Harsha Dass, CPO/G, Ms. Archana Mittal CME/Planning, Sh. Abhishek Thakur, Dy.CPO/HQ and other senior officials of headquarters were present.

The Nukkad Natak emphasized keeping surroundings clean, eating healthy and proper waste disposal. The performance highlighted the importance of individual responsibility in maintaining a healthy environment, ensuring a healthy family, and building a healthy society. The event aimed to spread awareness and inspire railway staff and the public to adopt cleanliness habits, aligning with the Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign’s objectives.

The performance took place at the Central Lawn of Baroda House, the headquarters office, and featured 10 talented artists, including eight male members—Shri Mukesh Kumar, Shri Aman Kumar, Shri Bharat Bhushan, Shri Harish Kumar, Shri Anup Kumar, Shri Sanjay Mishra, Shri Parivesh Khanna, and Dr. Sumit Malik—and two female members, Ms. Reena Mehra and Ms. Radha.

The Nukkad Natak focused on key messages promoting cleanliness, proper waste disposal, and healthy living. The team used humor and drama to convey the importance of keeping one’s surroundings clean, maintaining personal hygiene, and the individual responsibility each person holds in creating a healthier environment and society. The performance aligned with the Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign, which aims to raise awareness about cleanliness and sustainability across various sectors.

Senior railway officials, including Sh. Harsha Dass, CPO/G, Ms. Archana Mittal, CME/Planning, and Sh. Abhishek Thakur, Dy.CPO/HQ, were present at the event, showing their support for the cause. This initiative not only seeks to inspire railway staff but also the general public to adopt better cleanliness habits, ensuring long-term benefits for both families and communities.
