The Impressive TimesNew Delhi , 22 July , 2024 : Today, the Honorable Minister for Civil Aviation, Shri RamMohan Naidu, along with the Honorable Minister for Irrigation, Andhra Pradesh, Shri Ramanaidu, MoS, Srinivas Verma ji met with the Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Shri C.R. Patil Ji.
During the meeting, Shri RamMohan Naidu emphasized the critical importance of the Central Government’s support in completing the Polavaram project on time. He expressed strong confidence that the project could only be successfully completed under the combined leadership of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji.
Shri RamMohan Naidu highlighted the significance of the Polavaram project for the growth and development of Andhra Pradesh. He underscored that Polavaram is not just a project for the state but will also stand as a symbol of pride for all of Andhra Pradesh.
The Ministers requested the Central Government for all necessary financial and technical support to ensure the timely completion of the project. Shri RamMohan Naidu recalled how the project saw accelerated progress between 2014-2019 and noted the setbacks it faced during the period from 2019-2024 under the previous administration. He emphasized that Andhra Pradesh, under the current leadership, is now committed to completing the project with utmost priority.
Both Shri RamMohan Naidu and Shri Ramanaidu assured that they would work closely with the Central Government to ensure that the Polavaram project is completed within the stipulated time frame.
Additionally, Shri RamMohan Naidu stated, “If anyone can finish this project, it is only possible under the combined leadership of NCBN and Narendra Modi Ji. The importance of Polavaram in Andhra Pradesh’s growth cannot be overstated, and it will not just benefit our state but will also be a matter of immense pride for all its citizens.”
He further requested the Central Government for all necessary financial and technical support and reminded how the project had suffered a major blow between 2019-2024 under the previous administration. “Andhra is now ready to finish this project, and it is NCBN’s utmost priority to see it through to completion,” he added.
Shri RamMohan Naidu and Shri Ramanaidu reiterated their commitment to working closely with the Centre to ensure that the Polavaram project is completed on time.
