Chandigarh , July 6 2024 :-, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh highlighted the benefits of the land bank created through voluntarily offered land on the e-Bhoomi portal, stating that it will expedite project completion. This initiative is the first of its kind in India aimed at accumulating land for government schemes.
The Chief Minister chaired a meeting of the High-Powered Land Purchase Committee, attended by Minister of State for Urban Local Bodies Subhash Sudha and Minister of State for Environment, Forest & Wildlife Sh. Sanjay Singh.
Nayab Singh commended individuals who donate land for public welfare projects, specifically mentioning Sh. Ramehar from Baroli village in Jind district for his donation of 2.8 acres to the Public Health Engineering Department for a JalGhar, setting a societal example.
Discussions during the meeting focused on land offered at fixed rates on the e-Bhoomi portal from various districts, including Ambala, Bhiwani, Hisar, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Sirsa, and Sonipat. The Chief Minister also communicated with landowners via video conferencing, discussing land for projects such as drainage in Ambala, a ROB service road in Hisar, a new road from Jind-Barwala Road to Rakhigarhi Museum, and a new bypass in Kosli town of Rewari district. He instructed Deputy Commissioners to finalize these agendas.
Sh. Nayab Singh directed officers to inspect the land offered on the e-Bhoomi portal to ensure its suitability for projects, emphasizing the importance of avoiding harm to forest areas and planting new trees if necessary as per regulations.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary T.V.S.N. Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary of Finance and Planning Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary of Public Health Engineering , A.K. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of Town and Planning Arun Kumar Gupta, Commissioner of Urban Local Bodies Department . Vikas Gupta, and other senior officers, with Deputy Commissioners of various districts connected via video conferencing.
