Railway Board Chairman gave guidelines for passenger facilities at Ayodhya Junction

New Delhi, 20 December 2023– During inspection of Ayodhya railway station, Railway Board Chairman/Chief Executive Officer Jaya Verma Sinha inspected newly constructed building along with General Manager of Northern Railway Shobhan Chaudhury and General Manager of North Eastern Railway Soumya Mathur, Divisional Railway Manager, Dr Manish Thaplyal.

While inspecting the facilities, she obtained information about the complete arrangements and passed necessary suggestions and instructions in this regard.While keeping in mind the smooth journey of railway passengers traveling to Ayodhya by various trains, she reviewed the policies and procedures of passenger management to be done and obtained information about alternative arrangements in this regard.She reviewed the new station building, air concourse, arrival of passengers at the stations, their stay, cleanliness, catering arrangements, traffic management, parking.

The inspection was carried out keeping in mind many points like arrangement and establishing an environment conducive to passenger interest. Apart from this, She also inspected Ramghat Halt and Katra station of North Eastern Railway falling in Ayodhya region and passed suggestions and guidelines to the concerned. She gave special emphasis on completing the progressive development works at the station and railway area on time with high quality and also interacted with the media persons present at the station. Many development works are in progress including infrastructure of the stations to equip the station with modern amenities at Ayodhya Junction.
