“Grand Passing Out Parade Marks Induction of New Constables into Delhi Police Force”

New Delhi, 21 May, 2024- Delhi Police Academy hosted the Passing Out Parade for their latest batches of newly recruited Constables. Thisevent marked a significant milestone for 1266 newly RecruitConstables (Driver) of Batch No. 27 and 151 Constables (Exe.) including 35 femalesof Batch No. 121.

Amidst cheers and applause, the event was full of energy as these recruits completed their training and took an oath to serve “THE CAPITAL OF THE COUNTRY” with honor and dedication.


Sh. S.K Gautam, Special CP/HRD was the Chief Guest of this grandeur Passing Out Parade took the salute and congratulated all the newlyrecruited constables and encouraged them to serve with dedication and integrity. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order in the capital.


Sh. Asif Mohd. Ali, Joint Director DPAwho welcomed the Chief Guest, other guests, and parade. Sh. Uma Shankar, Deputy Director, DPA administered the Oath. Notable Guests from the Rashtriya Raksha University, Gujarat, and senior officers of the Delhi Police added prestige to this special occasion.

These recruits come from various corners of the nation, bringing a rich culture and diverse educational backgrounds, with many of them having completed their Postgraduation (122), Graduation (788), and Technical Studies(58).During their training, they learnt about important aspects of law enforcement like New criminal laws, Road safety, Traffic rules, Computers, first aid, maintaining law and order, handling emergencies, and promoting gender sensitivityetc. In addition to these acumens Constable Drivers also got aptness in driving and vehicle safety.


Physical fitness was a significant aspect in their training period. They were trained in parade drills, Physical exercise, Unarmed Combat (UAC) and using weapons properly. They acquired skills in conducting searches, handling emergencies, and using security equipment.

Recruit Constable Neeraj was the best among recruits (Driver)


Recruit Constable Sapna Rawat was the best among recruits (Executive).

The Passing Out Parade is a significant step for these recruits as they begin their journey of protecting and serving the people of Delhi.
