Education Ministry Launches 5 Free AI Courses on SWAYAM Platform

The Ministry of Education has rolled out a special opportunity for students keen to explore the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Five new AI-related courses are now available free of cost on the SWAYAM portal, aimed at equipping learners with in-demand skills for the future job market.

With industries across the globe rapidly integrating AI into their operations, the demand for professionals who understand AI tools, data science, and machine learning is skyrocketing. These new courses are designed to help students gain practical and theoretical expertise, opening pathways to innovation, research, and high-paying careers.

The five courses on offer include:

AI/ML Using Python – Covers the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning along with Python programming for data science. Students will also learn about data visualisation, statistics, optimisation, and linear algebra. A basic grasp of programming and high school mathematics is recommended.

Cricket Analytics with AI – Designed for sports enthusiasts, this course introduces Python programming alongside the principles of sports data analytics. Offered in collaboration with IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation, it focuses on turning cricket data into actionable insights.

AI in Physics – A hands-on course demonstrating how AI tools such as machine learning and neural networks can solve physics problems. Includes lab activities and practical applications for undergraduate learners.

AI in Chemistry – Teaches science students how to apply AI in predicting molecular behaviour, drug design, reaction modelling, and more. Combines theory, datasets, and lab-based activities for a real-world learning experience.

AI in Accounting – Tailored for commerce and management students, this course explores how AI concepts can be merged with accounting principles, using real datasets and interactive exercises. Available to students from the first year of graduation onwards.
