FCCI’s 8th Governing Body Meet focuses on law & order, cyber safety, traffic and pollution control

Faridabad: The 8th Governing Body Interactive Meeting of the Faridabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) was held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, bringing together industry leaders and senior officials to deliberate on key civic and industrial issues. Faridabad Joint Commissioner of Police Rajesh Duggal, IPS, attended the meeting as the Chief Guest, along with Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) Regional Officer Sandeep Singh and BJP District President Pankaj Poojan Rampal.

Addressing the gathering, Joint Commissioner of Police Rajesh Duggal said nearly 6,000 police personnel are deployed across Faridabad through 32 police stations and 32 police outposts to maintain law and order. He informed that Dial-112 teams respond within an average of 6 minutes, and due to proactive policing, crimes against women have declined by over 5 percent compared to last year. Highlighting cyber safety, he said over 1,450 cyber offenders have been arrested this year with a recovery of around Rs.23.5 crore, and urged industrialists to report fraud immediately on helpline 1930. He also stressed mandatory verification of migrant and outside workers employed in industrial units. On traffic management, JCP Rajesh Duggal said about 600 traffic personnel, along with senior officers, are deployed to streamline traffic, and special advisories have been issued in view of dense fog. He added that under GRAP-IV, strict action is being taken to curb pollution, with five traffic check-points monitoring vehicles across the district.

HSPCB Regional Officer Sandeep Singh said environmental protection requires collective responsibility and stated that CPCB directions under Section 18(1)(b) for controlling emissions from heating fuels used in textile, metal and food units must be complied with by December 31. He urged industrialists to participate in the daily 4 pm video conferencing to directly raise their concerns. BJP District President Pankaj Poojan Rampal said the Haryana Government is committed to inclusive development and has directed all departments to resolve industrial issues within fixed timelines to ensure ease of doing business. FCCI President H.K. Batra said the Chamber is working in line with members’ demands and announced an upcoming workshop on ESI and new labour law amendments. FCCI General Secretary Rohit Rungta said FCCI’s engagement with key departments has led to beneficial tie-ups in medical equipment, gensets and solar energy, and called for rationalisation of pollution control equipment rates.

The meeting witnessed the presence of several leading industrialists, including T.C. Dhawan, M.P. Rungta, R.C. Khandelwal, V.S. Chaudhary, O.P. Kamboj, Pradeep Mohanty, Jagjit Singh Lamba, Veer Bhan Sharma, Kishan Kaushik, Yograj Gupta, Ashish Malik, Dhruv Batra, Jitendra Mangla, Tarun Gupta, Parveen Ranka, Naresh Verma, I.P. Singh, Jagat Madan, P.J.S. Sarna, Akul Agarwal along with other FCCI office-bearers and members.
