Faridabad: The Faridabad Police have put in place an extensive security grid ahead of the 32nd Northern Zonal Council Meeting, scheduled to be chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on November 17 at Surajkund. According to the police spokesperson, a comprehensive plan has been implemented to ensure the meeting is conducted smoothly, safely and in a highly organised manner.
The overall security command will be led by Joint Commissioner of Police Rajesh Duggal, with Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Abhishek Jorawal assisting in coordination.

Nearly 2,000 police personnel have been deployed across the district, supported by six QRT commando teams prepared to respond instantly to any emergency. All station house officers and outpost in-charges have been instructed to maintain strict vigilance. They have been directed to conduct continuous patrolling in their respective areas, set up checkpoints at strategic locations and intensify checking in crowded zones.
Bus stands, markets, cinema halls, hotels, dharamshalas, OYO facilities, inns and all suspected locations are being thoroughly searched to ensure no suspicious individual is present. Incoming buses at Ballabgarh and Faridabad bus stands are also being checked meticulously. The spokesperson added that the police are committed to maintaining a robust and effective security cover at every level during the meeting. In view of the high-profile event, ADG Law & Order Sanjay Kumar and ADG Intelligence Saurabh Singh inspected the programme venues on November 16 and reviewed all security arrangements on the ground.
