Deen Dayal Awas Yojana Gives Fresh Push to Residential Development in Haryana: Cabinet Minister Vipul Goel

760 Licences issued Since 2016, Housing Projects Spread Over 7,618 Acres Across the State

Chandigarh: Haryana Cabinet Minister Vipul Goel informed the State Assembly during the budget session that the Deen Dayal Awas Yojana has significantly accelerated residential development in the state. Responding to a question raised in the House, Goel said that the Haryana government is working consistently to ensure planned urban growth and improved housing infrastructure. He stated that since 2016, a total of 760 licences have been issued under the scheme, approving residential development on more than 7,618.9 acres of land across the state. He said the scheme has been designed to meet the housing needs of the growing urban population by providing better residential options for the middle class and common citizens. The initiative aims to create well-planned residential areas equipped with modern civic amenities. Minister further said that the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran is also carrying out systematic development of sectors in different parts of the state. At present, development works are underway in 56 sectors covering around 5,529.20 acres under HSVP. These projects include expansion of roads, water supply, electricity, sewerage and other essential urban infrastructure. Goel emphasized that the state government is focused on ensuring balanced development in both urban and semi-urban areas. Along with housing schemes, strengthening infrastructure remains a key priority so that development initiatives directly benefit citizens. He added that under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, the state is steadily moving forward on the path of growth, transparency and good governance.
