New Delhi, April 6, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday lauded Bharatiya Janata Party workers as the organisation completed 47 years since its formation, crediting them for their consistent commitment towards public service and nation building.
In his address, the Prime Minister underlined that the real strength of the party comes from its grassroots cadre, who have continued to work with dedication and a sense of responsibility. He said their efforts have helped the party expand its reach and strengthen its connect with citizens across the country.
He further noted that the values of service and collective responsibility have remained at the core of the party’s functioning. According to him, the tireless contribution of karyakartas has played a key role in shaping the party’s journey over the decades.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that this spirit of service will continue to guide the organisation in the years ahead, contributing to the vision of a developed and self reliant India.
The Bharatiya Janata Party celebrates its foundation day on April 6 every year, marking its establishment in 1980 and its growth into a major political force in the country.
