Bhavnagar, August 3, 2025 — In a significant push towards strengthening India’s manufacturing capabilities, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw paid a detailed visit to Aawadkrupa Plastomech Pvt. Ltd., a growing container production facility in the Bhavnagar district of Gujarat. The visit marked a key step in promoting Bhavnagar as an emerging center for container manufacturing.
Accompanied by Union Minister of Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukhbhai Mandaviya, and Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Nimuben Bambhaniya, Vaishnaw reviewed the plant’s operational processes and technological infrastructure along the Bhavnagar–Rajkot Road.

Currently, the Navagam-based factory produces about 15 containers per day. However, it possesses the capacity and infrastructure to scale production up to 100 units daily to meet rising demand. Vaishnaw thoroughly inspected the manufacturing line and assured the company of full government support to expand its global footprint.

The Railway Minister also offered guidance on improving operations and praised the company’s readiness to contribute to the country’s growing logistics sector. The visit comes under the broader vision of self-reliant India and the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative.
Also present during the visit were District Collector Dr. Manish Kumar Bansal, District Development Officer Hanul Chaudhary, Regional Commissioner Dhaval Pandya, Superintendent of Police Harshad Patel, and company representative Hasmukhbhai Patel.
This development is expected to catalyze industrial growth in the region and strengthen India’s position in the global container supply chain.
