Amit Shah Celebrates Uttarayan in Ahmedabad with Temple Prayers and Kite Flying

Ahmedabad, January 14: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah observed the festival of Uttarayan in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, offering prayers at key religious sites and taking part in festive celebrations across the city.

On the auspicious occasion, the Home Minister visited the Shri Jagannath Temple, where he offered prayers and performed worship of Gau Mata, highlighting the spiritual importance of the festival. He also paid respects at Gurudwara Gobind Dham in the Thaltej area of Ahmedabad, reflecting the message of harmony and inclusiveness associated with the occasion.

Later in the day, Shri Shah joined citizens at a public kite festival organised in Ahmedabad, where he participated in kite flying amid widespread celebrations. He noted that Uttarayan was being celebrated across Gujarat with great enthusiasm, bringing together people of all ages in a spirit of joy and unity.

In messages shared on social media, the Home Minister said he felt blessed to once again offer prayers at the Shri Jagannath Temple on Uttarayan and expressed hope that divine blessings continue to guide the nation. He also underlined that in Sanatan traditions, service to and reverence for Gau Mata hold deep spiritual significance.

Extending his wishes to the people, Shri Shah prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being, stating that festivals like Uttarayan strengthen cultural bonds and collective faith.
