Filmmaker Viveck Vaswani has shared insights into why he never collaborated again with Bollywood star Salman Khan after their early project together. The two had worked on the film Patthar Ke Phool, which also marked the debut of Raveena Tandon.
In a recent interview, Vaswani explained that his approach to filmmaking is rooted in maintaining a highly disciplined and focused work environment. He stated that he prefers sets where professionalism is strictly followed, and distractions are minimal.
Without directly criticising Salman Khan, Vaswani indicated that he would only consider working with the actor under certain conditions. He pointed out that the superstar has demonstrated exceptional professionalism when working with established filmmakers such as Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Sooraj Barjatya, and Aditya Chopra.
According to Vaswani, these filmmakers maintain strong control over their projects and ensure a disciplined atmosphere on set. He emphasized that in such environments, Salman Khan delivers his best performance as an actor rather than relying solely on his star power.
The filmmaker also highlighted that he values structured and respectful working conditions, adding that he is not inclined to be part of setups where professionalism may be compromised.
While there is no indication of any personal fallout, Vaswani’s remarks shed light on how differing work styles and expectations can influence long-term collaborations in the film industry.
