Faridabad, 26th March, 2025: Department of Applied Sciences, School of Engineering and Technology, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) successfully organized a 2-day International Conference entitled “Empowering Sustainability Through Science, Engineering & Technology (ICES2ET-2025)” on 20th and 21st March 2025. The conference was funded by Haryana State Council for Science & Technology, Panchkula. The conference witnessed the presence of eminent guests, including the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Sharma, University of Delhi and Director, “Green Chemistry Network Centre” India Chapter and Head of “Royal Society of Chemist (RSC)” – North India and Guests of Honor: Dr. D.S. Hooda, Former PVC, Kurukshetra University. The conference featured prominent international speakers representing the USA, Saudi Arabia, and Chile, further enriching discussions on sustainability and technological advancements on a global scale.
The two-day event brought together experts and researchers from around the world to exchange knowledge and present solutions in areas such as Sustainability and Weather Forecasting, Fuzzy Soft Information Measures and Applications, Sustainable Solutions Using Queuing Theory, Waste Biomaterials for Wastewater Treatment, and Sustainable Healthcare.
The conference received over 100 research papers, out of which 75 papers were registered and presented across nine technical sessions. An Abstract Booklet was unveiled during the inauguration session, and the selected papers will be published in reputed journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) indexed Journals, ensuring that the research reaches a broader academic and industrial audience.
Dr. Pardeep Kumar, Pro Vice-Chancellor, MRIIRS, enlightened the audience on the critical integration of sustainability and technological advancements, stating, “This conference provides a crucial platform to explore innovative solutions addressing global challenges while promoting sustainable practices across various engineering disciplines. Such initiatives are essential for balancing development with environmental responsibilities.”
The conference was graced by esteemed guests, including Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Sharma, University of Delhi, who emphasized the importance of promoting Green Chemistry through sustainable education. He highlighted the urgent need to address India’s growing waste crisis and underscored the significance of eco-friendly solutions and effective waste management.
Prof. Milan Stehlik, Johannes Kepler University, Austria, discussed the applications of data science, data transformations, and transfer functions in sustainable biology and ecology. His presentation emphasized how advanced data analytics can contribute to biodiversity conservation and ecological modeling.
The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation from researchers, scholars, and academicians from leading institutions across India and abroad who contributed significantly to the event. This strong engagement underscores the growing emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration in Science, Engineering, and Technology to address global sustainability challenges. The conference served as a valuable platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and cultivating innovative research partnerships, reinforcing its impact on advancing sustainable solutions in various domains.
