Bhopal, 04 Oct-On Friday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav participated in the fifth annual convocation ceremony at VIT Bhopal University, held in Sehore. Addressing the gathered students, CM Yadav emphasized the importance of holistic education and urged the graduates to not only excel academically but also contribute positively to their families, society, and the nation. In a key moment of the ceremony, the Chief Minister awarded degrees and medals to meritorious students, acknowledging their hard work and dedication. Additionally, CM Yadav inaugurated newly constructed hostels for both boys and girls at the university, marking another milestone for the institution.
During his speech, CM Yadav noted, “Convocation ceremonies mark a significant milestone in a student’s journey. While teachers focus on curriculum-based education, a Guru is one who nurtures the complete personality of a student. Our universities provide the foundation for this kind of comprehensive development.” He also highlighted the Indian tradition of honoring the head of a university as the “Kulguru,” a title that reflects the esteemed role of shaping students’ futures. Encouraging the students to look beyond academics, the Chief Minister said, “It is essential to move forward with an inclusive approach, combining education with a sense of duty toward one’s family, society, and country.” He expressed pride in the fact that students from various parts of India were coming together to study in Madhya Pradesh.
The Chief Minister also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership, stating, “Under PM Modi’s leadership, India is confidently advancing on the global stage. His dedication to the nation and use of the latest technology have positioned India as a major player internationally.” Yadav further highlighted the country’s rapid economic growth, noting, “India has made great strides, from being ranked 11th in the global economy in 2014 to now being ranked fourth. Under PM Modi’s guidance, we are on track to become the third-largest economy in the next five years.” CM Yadav concluded by extending his best wishes to the graduating students, encouraging them to pursue bright and successful futures. He also emphasized India’s rich history of scientific thinking and knowledge, evident in ancient texts, and how today’s youth are the torchbearers of a prosperous future for the country.
