The Impressive TimesThe benchmark equity indices in India opened positively today, with the BSE Sensex surpassing the 80,000 mark again.
The Sensex was trading 170 points higher, or 0.21 percent, at 80,130 points. Meanwhile, the NSE Nifty rose by 39 points, or 0.16 percent, to trade at 24,359.
The auto index was the best performer, showing a rise of over one percent. In contrast, IT stocks experienced a decline ahead of the earnings reports scheduled for this week.
