Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station has taken a significant step to improve passenger comfort and convenience with the inauguration of a first-class air-conditioned paid waiting lounge on the first floor. Uniquely, the lounge was inaugurated not by a distinguished guest but by a female passenger along with her child, symbolizing the railway’s commitment to passenger participation and respect. Railway officials, local representatives were also present on the occasion.

Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway informed that the state-of-the-art lounge provides passengers with comfortable seating, a clean and serene environment, and modern amenities, ensuring a relaxed and pleasant waiting experience. The facility aims to make travel from Ayodhya Dham Junction safer, more convenient, and enjoyable.

The fee structure has been set at Rs.20 per hour for adults, Rs.10 per hour for children aged five to twelve, and is free for children below five years. The lounge includes an advanced air-conditioning system, charging points for mobile phones and laptops, access to clean drinking water, hygienic restrooms, and a peaceful, well-maintained environment for passengers.

Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Kumar Verma, Divisional Railway Manager of Northern Railway, Lucknow, stated that continuously improving passenger amenities is the top priority of the Lucknow Division, and modern facilities like this lounge are part of efforts to provide high-quality services to railway passengers.
